“Shift happens.” From today’s link
How would you describe the changes that are occurring around us at ever increasing speeds?
He replied, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow, red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You are good at reading the weather signs in the sky, but you can’t read the obvious signs of the times!” (Matt. 16:2-3; NLT)
Last week, Sharon and I spent Wednesday through Sunday in Dallas at the annual conference of the wellness company we work with. We learned lots of new things that we’re eager to share, but one presentation we saw that stood out in my mind is the topic of today’s DG.
Most of you know that I am coming up fast on my “mature” years, and even though I consider myself fairly up-to-date with computers, the Internet, and the like, I have to admit that things are happening so quickly in recent days that it is getting harder and harder to keep up. The link today is an incredible presentation on how much things are changing and how fast it is happening.
This is not something that you can just shrug off as not being important to you. If you have children, or grandchildren, if those children are in school, or if you home-educate (as a lot of our friends do), you need to watch this presentation. If you have a business, or a church, or a ministry of any kind, you need to watch this presentation. There are some challenging questions at the end that deserve some serious thought…and prayer.
This reminds me of the old story of the frog in the kettle who didn’t jump out as the water got hotter and hotter because he was unaware of the change that was happening around him. Are you sensitive to the changes that are going on around you?
Prayer Power
Lord, thank You for being the Rock among shifting sands. Thank You that we can always know that no matter how much things around us change, Your love for us is ever constant.
